Join this experience that will take you to Skanderbeg square, situated in the very heart of Tirana. we visit Ethem Bey mosque which was founded at the end of 18th century by Mulla Bey, the Clock Tower -a cultural monument that has shown the time in Tirana since 1822.
The tour continues to National History museum, one of the most important museums in the country, contains a well-documented history of the country. After that we visit Tirana castle and The Tanners' Bridge -an 18th century Ottoman stone footbridge. then we walk to the pyramid, It is absolutely an important tourist attraction. As a symbol of a notorious communism, a symbol of the mixed and contradictory history of Tirana. It was inaugurated on October 14, 1988, as the mausoleum of the dictator, Enver Hoxha.
After that we continue our walking tour to the Postblloku (Checkpoint), the Memorial to Communist Isolation, commemorates the country’s political prisoners who suffered under the Hoxha regime. It is situated on the main boulevard opposite the government building. after that we will have a coffee break in Blloku quarter.
After exploring the Blloku quarter we will be picked up to the house of heaves, It is considered to be the equivalent of the Stasi headquarters of the former East Germany. Those curious to see what was hidden in the HQ of the notorious National Intelligence Service, also known as the House of Spies, will leave speechless.
we drive to another corner of the city to visit the bunkart1 which contains the Anti-atomic bunker of the Albanian Army during Communist time , that is located near Mount Dajti . The Bunker contain more than 100 rooms and for military and government purpose during a possible Atomic war . then we take the cable car to the top of Dajti mountain, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Tirana and you can drink a coffee at the revolving bar.
