Setting & Location
The Four Seasons at Anahita sits on the east-coast of Mauritius, nestled between a vibrant turquoise lagoon and the dramatic rise of Bambou Mountain. The resort spans a lush estate that includes a large beachfront, mangrove inlets, and its own private island access on Île aux Cerfs, giving guests the feeling of being both secluded and luxuriously connected.
Accommodation & Design
All accommodations are villas or residences, not typical hotel rooms. Each features its own private pool, garden or terrace, and expansive indoor-outdoor living space designed to blur the boundaries between nature and comfort. The design emphasises natural materials: teak, lava-stone, generous glazing, and interiors that open onto private gardens or water-edges. One-bedroom Garden or Ocean Pool Villas offer around 105 m² of indoor + outdoor living space. Larger options include multi-bedroom Private Residences (four-bedroom, five-bedroom) ideal for families or groups, with hundreds of square metres of space.
Dining & Culinary Experiences
Dining at Anahita covers a broad spectrum, from casual beach-grill to fine-dining, drawing on the island’s bounty of seafood, tropical produce, and multicultural influences. Among the venues: beach‐grill on Île aux Cerfs, Italian-inspired open-air dining, modern French and Asian-fusion kitchens. Each restaurant is framed by views of lagoon, ocean or garden, making meals part of the scenery.
Wellness, Activities & Leisure
Wellness is a major focus: the resort features a signature spa built over the water and amid mangroves, offering treatments inspired by local nature, plus indoor/outdoor relaxation zones. On the activity front, guests have access to two championship golf courses during their stay, one designed by Ernie Els at Anahita and another on Île aux Cerfs. Water-based activities are plentiful: non-motorised sports, snorkelling, sailing, lagoon cruises, and the private beach club on Île aux Cerfs.
Atmosphere & Appeal
The resort manages to combine the privacy and spaciousness of a villa estate with the service and amenities of a full-scale luxury resort. Many guests describe the atmosphere as calm and elegant, yet with plenty of opportunity for discovery and activity. One redeeming feature is how the landscape, villa design and views prioritise immersion in nature, whether you’re relaxing poolside, in your garden, or strolling the sands of the lagoon.
Recent Enhancements
A significant renovation has been announced: the resort will reopen a “re-imagined” experience on 1 November 2025, featuring upgraded villas, an all-new over-water spa, refreshed dining concepts, and strengthened sustainability initiatives that heighten the connection to Mauritian nature.
