Description

A Legendary Icon in the Heart of the Alps

Since opening in 1896, Badrutt’s Palace Hotel has stood as a symbol of alpine luxury and timeless elegance in St. Moritz, perched above Lake St. Moritz and in the center of the resort town. Over the years, it has hosted royalty, movie stars, artists, and discerning travelers, building a storied legacy of “see and be seen.”

Architecture, Rooms & Suites

Badrutt’s Palace blends Belle Époque elegance with modern sophistication. The hotel comprises over 130 guestrooms, including 33 suites, each uniquely designed with views over the lake or village center.

Among its most exceptional accommodations is the Tower Penthouse Apartment, spanning three floors of the hotel’s tower, featuring fireplaces, art, and sweeping panoramas.

The “Serlas Wing” includes rooms and suites with Loro Piana fabrics, refined wood and stone finishes, and direct access to the hotel’s luxury shopping gallery.

Culinary & Dining Experiences

Dining is central to the Badrutt experience. With eight restaurants and two bars, the hotel offers a diverse gastronomic journey.Highlights include Matsuhisa (Japanese-Peruvian), King’s Social House, La Coupole, and a host of classic and contemporary alpine fare.

In the evening, guests gather in the Renaissance Bar, a sophisticated space with a dress code after 7:30 pm, ideal for enjoying fine pours, cigars, and social interaction.

Wellness, Spa & Leisure

The hotel’s wellness and spa offerings provide a restorative escape. A 25-meter infinity pool, fitness rooms, Saudis, Jacuzzis, and treatment rooms allow guests to unwind in style with views of lake and peaks. The spa integrates organic botanicals and state-of-the-art treatments within a setting inspired by the surrounding mountain environment.

In winter, the hotel also provides ice rink access and seasonal winter amenities; in summer, it becomes a hub for al fresco adventures and alpine exploration.

Legacy & Distinctive Features

• Historic Prestige: Badrutt’s Palace is deeply linked to the history of St. Moritz and alpine tourism more broadly.

• Family-Owned, Heritage-Driven: While undergoing multiple renovations and expansions over the decades, the hotel remains privately managed, preserving both tradition and innovation.
