A Historic Alpine Legend
Founded in 1856 by Johannes Badrutt, Kulm Hotel St. Moritz is often credited as one of the founding pillars of winter tourism in the Swiss Alps. Its name, “Kulm,” derives from the Latin culmen meaning “hill” , an apt nod to its elevated and commanding presence.
The hotel has stood sentinel through centuries of change, witnessing the rise of alpine sports, hosting dignitaries, and maintaining its role as a bridge between St. Moritz’s storied past and its modern luxury appeal.
